Fckeditor removes empty tags! How to fix?

If you enter the code <a href="/link"></a> , FCKeditor will remove the tag.

Launch FCKEditor, switch to source mode (in FCKEditor). Enter <a href="bob"></a> (you will not notice anything in the content area of ​​the anchor), switch to WYSIWYG mode. Return to the initial mode, and you will see an empty source.

How can i fix this?

None of these are valid links. The link should contain something.

If you want to anchor, use <a name="bob">Bob</a>

If you want to set a link to a binding, use <a href="#bob">Link to Bob</a>

 if ( htmlNode.innerHTML.Trim().length == 0 && !htmlNode.name ) return false ;

... if you have access to the settings, if I'm not mistaken, you can tell the editor that you will leave your code alone. If you do not have access to the settings, you may be out of luck.

EDIT: if you need an empty tag, then the DIV will work. Span will not, but the div will be, found out today.
