Configuring emacs with autocomplete, python-mode and rope

Question

I have all of the above. The rope seems to be working fine, but I get the error below when I try to start autocomplete:

Symbol function definition is void: rope-completions 

I can’t figure it out for me. Any suggestions on where to look for this error would be great.

According to this blog, you need the latest version of Rope and Ropemacs for emacs to define rope-completions .
