JMF Video Capture on Macbook Air

I am trying to work with a webcam on my Macbook Air through JMF, but jmfinit does not seem to be able to find it. I get the following output:

Looking for Audio capturer Finished detecting javasound capturer Looking for video capture devices Capture device detection failed!

Any thoughts on what I can do to let JMF find the webcam?

Using jmfregistry , I click “Capture device detection”, but it only says “JavaSound sound recorder” (which was before the discovery because jmfinit added it to the registry already).

EDIT: It’s best to assume that since JMF has not been updated after ~ 4 years, it just doesn’t work on OS X Lion. My solution was to switch to using LTI-Civil

Try starting MediaPlayer, which comes with JMF. If he can get webcam input, then the source code will show you.
