Using Heroku as a Basic Git Repo

Are there any drawbacks to using Heroku as the main Git repository as a replacement for Github?

Heroku is not a replacement for GitHub (and, of course, does not have all the social functions, pull requests, queues of forks, reviews and comments about commits ...).
Plus, I don’t think it supports smart http (which is important when you click on the enterprise firewall).
And does not support submodules ( GitHub does )

But it is adapted for managing and deploying a web application and has an advanced monitoring feature . If this is your business, then Heroku is the right choice.
