How to use the JBoss Tattletale tool?

I need to reduce the size of the JAR file in my project, which is 9.17 MB, I have already reduced it to 6.31 MB, deleting all registrar applications and dead code. I also checked each JAR file individually, deleting it and compiling it. With the help of which I deleted up to 6 files.

Now I want to reduce the size of the JAR file to 2 - 3 MB, and I decided to use this JBoss Tattletale tool,

Has anyone used it before? and if so, please provide me with steps to install and run This. BTW I have already downloaded this tool from www.jboss.org.

Thanks in advance!

First you need to download the tool from the website. Or you can directly go to their sourceforge project location and download the latest version.

After you downloaded and unpacked it, start from the terminal:

$ java -Xmx512m -jar tattletale.jar ~/Java/workspaces/mycoolprojects/projectX output-projectx

assuming the project for your project is ~ / Java / workspaces / mycoolprojects / projectX, and that you want the generated report to be stored in a folder called output-projectx

Best, Nikola
