How can I open an MVC 3 project in Visual Studio 2010 SP1?

I just reinstalled my OS and installed everything again, and found that whenever I open my project, I get an error message.

The project type is not supported by this setting.

Can someone explain why this happened when nothing happens, when I install.

There are several quirks with the web platform installer. Download the full version of mvc by clicking on the “AspNetMvc3Setup.exe” link on this page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=d2928bc1-f48c-4e95-a064-2a455a22c8f6

Then run the executable file, which will cost using the web platform installer.

You need to go to the asp.net homepage, download and install the MVC3 package.
