PHP / MySQL Report Library

Is there a known good reporting library? Before I start creating my own, I was wondering if anyone who came up with a solution that I adapted to can? Basically, I have a bunch of MySQL queries that I need to β€œreport”. Thus, my internal solution would mainly be the connection of mysql queries that need to be run in the dropdown menu or report style menu, and they will run the requested queries and create a small report of any sql query that was launched. Is there something out there that is already doing THIS, or am I just collecting something in the house?

Take a look at phpreports . This is similar to what you are looking for.

Pentaho , Jasper Reports, or Eclipse reports. BIRT can work with MySQL. I have not seen any PHP-based report libraries. That way, you can simply configure one of these applications and link it to your database to allow reporting.

If you are just looking for a table assembly from MySQL records, try this example from jqGrid : <a4>

Please see Windward Reports . With Windward, you create reports in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint, so there is no learning curve, and you can design reports that are Crystal, SSRS, etc. They can’t even dream. (Disclaimer - I'm CTO on the Windward Side.)

We have a large number of clients who use MySql for a data source. And we have a PHP shell to invoke our Java engine.

If you want something simple but effective, try my PHP MySQL Reporter Script - http://julian-young.com/mysqlreporter/ - it is very simple, but very effective, I had more than 500 sales and feedback pages and questions. A new version will also appear next month.

It is packaged as an easy way to generate MYSQL reports by email, but is used by many users as an efficient report generator.

Soon, CSV and PDF attachments will be added and they can be easily planned using cron or any operating system planning software.

I use two reporting mechanisms to convert SQL queries to reports, I think that any of them can satisfy your needs:

Smart Report maker : it supports MySQL reporting based on SQL queries, views and tables

MYDBR : it supports reporting based on stored procedures

I was going to vote to close this as an exact duplicate of a question that many have asked, many times here. But the previous answers are small.

Christopher answers 4 good products. I also suggest looking at Agata , phplens , Crystal Reports .

I am surprised that no one mentioned MSAccess - it has many nice features for reporting, but IME, software management is the main PITA, and there are few opportunities for planning / integration.
