Is there any codeigniter based forum software? free or commercial?

I have not tried either of them myself, but I have heard very good things, and you should take the time to research both of them:

Dove Forums The Dove forum is fairly new, but growing, and seems to enjoy some pretty strong support from the Code Igniter community.

Pyro CMS Pyro CMS is made by some of the best members of the Code Igniter community and receives many accolades.

This is a full CMS, not a forum script, but it has a forum that you can download to add this functionality.

You can check out MyForum ( https://github.com/EllisLab/CodeIgniter/wiki/MyForum ) - it's simple enough and I had a very good experience with it in the past! It is also free :)

Yep http://codeigniter.com/wiki/MyForum/ is nice, and here you can get all the necessary information about coding and other practices using codeigniter.

not sure how useful this is for you right now, but the Elite Bulletin Board (http://elite-board.us) is switching to CodeIgniter for its next version.

while it is still under development, the code is in SVN if you want to look at it.
