Xcode 4.0.1 "You Do Not Have Permission to View" Old Project File - Help!

I recently upgraded to Xcode 4.0.1 from the latest version of Xcode 3x (not sure what). The installation went fine and I can open and view all my old .xcodeproj files without any problems. All but one!

The error I get inside Xcode is

The "GCSCalculator.xcodeproj" file cannot be opened because you do not have permission to view it. To view or change permissions, select an item in the Finder and choose File> Get Info.

Obviously, I checked this, and the permissions are the same for all files, such as the ones that open in Xcode. I changed the permissions for each to ReadWrite just in case, but to no avail. I feel like I've tried everything obvious and can't find anyone else with the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas for a fix or workaround? Typically, this was one of the only projects that were actually completed, so it was very frustrating!

Thanks.

I ran into the same problem and found that clicking on the project in xcode and then switching the view to the standard editor will allow you to change all the project settings. After editing the summary areas, information and settings, it started working.

Click on project-> Build Settings β†’ Compiler for C / C ++ / Objective-C β†’ Default Compiler. Hope this is helpful: D
