How to upgrade / downgrade my iOS auto-renewal subscription

Assume that an iOS auto-renewable subscription provides access to a service that includes storage provisioning. There are several subscription levels that differ in the number of repositories allowed. Subscribers may want to upgrade or downgrade their subscription as their storage needs change. The StoreKit documentation shows how to start a subscription, but I did not find anything regarding updates or downgrades. Is there any way to do this from the application?

It seems that the only way to stop a renewable subscription for a user to go to the App Store app on their phone, click on the Apple ID button at the bottom of any page that will bring their account management page, where they can stop the subscription.
