You do not need to add .NET 3.5 to VS2010. When you create a new project, you simply indicate which version of .NET you want to configure. (You can change this later in the project properties.)

Try this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=ab99342f-5d1a-413d-8319-81da479ab0d7&displaylang=en

This is the download package for .NET 3.5. You may not have 3.5.

EDIT: Updated link to point to .NET 3.5 SP 1, and Hans points.

So now I understand what happens when installing in Visual Studio 2008. Apparently, the 3.5 frame is not installed by default (at least they do not install it by default here, where I work. VS2010 does not install 3.5 for you - You must install it using the Windows Server Manager, after which 3.5 will be installed and you can immediately reconfigure your projects to VS.

.NET FRAMEWORK 4 contains all versions of use cases. Just set up your project in the properties of your application in VS2010
