Problems after installing Visual Studio 2010 SP1?

I installed VS 2010 SP1 last week and noticed a couple of problems.

  • The My Class template has disappeared. I can no longer right-click and select Add> Class ... or select Add> New Item ...> Class
  • ASP.NET MVC 3 will not install (Note. First I installed the standalone version of SP1, not the version of MS Web Platform Installer, which includes MVC).

Does anyone else see something strange?

@dandax: for the first problem you mentioned, can you go to [VS Install Path] / Common7 / IDE / ItemTemplates / [CSharp / VB] / Code and check the Class.Zip file? In any case, if you think that you are constantly facing these problems, I suggest you add an error to http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio , where you will get the right help.

One of my colleagues had problems with Team Foundation Server after installing Service Pack 1 (SP1).

Since installing VS2010 SP1 in Visual Studio, sometimes it crashes and Outlook crashes when I click Submit, Reply, Reply All, Forward, or Create.

I am currently reviewing a lengthy SP removal process (which will apparently render, maybe VS is not working) by uninstalling VS2010, and then just reinstalling VS2010.

Very unhappy.
