C / C ++ sound library for musical instruments, where you can manipulate audio data

I am looking for a C / C ++ library for creating various tools and where I can subsequently manipulate the created audio data For example, something like this:

Sound s = makeSound("piano",440,44100,1000);

Where "piano" is the type of instrument, 440 is the tone frequency, 44100 is the sampling frequency and 1000 is the duration. Sound will be audio data that can be used for further processing.

I looked through some libraries, but CSound actually does not allow further processing of the generated sound (I think ... I'm not an expert), and I can’t get the STK (Synthesis Toolkit) to work (under the windows anyway) Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated. Helping with STK would be great too, because I think STK can do what I need.

Regards Sam

Hi, I don’t know if this could be useful for your purpose, but you can search for FMOD
