Resharper Test Runner Does Not Run Unit Tests in VMWare Fusion Shared Folder

I have VMWare Fusion Windows 7 Ultimate VM with VS (2008 and 2010) and Resharper. I tried moving all my solutions to a shared drive on my Mac this morning, and after switching with some trust issues, everything worked fine.

EXCEPT that the Resharper test runner will not pick up my tests. They just stay gray.

I searched everywhere for a solution, but so far no luck.

I have full trust configured for the location where the solution is located.

Any ideas?

You need to change the .NET code execution security settings for the ReSharper test runner.

Find Jetbrains.resharper.taskrunner. *. Exe.config files and add the line:

<loadFromRemoteSources enabled="true"/>

I experienced the same thing (VMWare Fusion on Mac with Windows 7 Enterprise VM with VS2010 and ReSharper 5.1). While the error window was closed, I opened the task manager to see the process whose name began with “Jetbrains”, then right-clicked it and opened the file location (so I was sure that I had the correct configuration file ) After making the recommended addition and restarting VS2010, it will work!
