Is a release for Symfony2 being prepared for release?

I have been using Symfony 1.4 since the release, but now I have the opportunity to upgrade to Symfony2 for my next project. Does anyone have any experience? Is anyone currently building a production application on Symfony2 or in the last few months?

EDIT: Yes, there was a clear message on the Symfony2 website that the framework will be released tomorrow! There is no "beta talk", but the installation page clearly states that you should use 1.4 for new projects.

EDIT: Someone voted to close because this question is apparently "too localized." These are not the same tags for ?!

Symfony2 is due out in March, and I guess it should take place in the next few days. In the preview release, there was always a note next to him that he was not ready for production. I can’t say how true this is, and how simple this is just a normal beta conversation.

If you notice, they changed the symfony2 page, which now does not go to the preview page, but instead on symfony.com. Several new tutorials have also appeared. And the download page shows the promising message "Will be available tomorrow"!

I tried playing with the symfony2 sandbox, but before transferring my application to it, I decided to wait for the release version. If your project did not click, I would suggest the same. Must be around the corner.

Only my two cents;)

EDIT : By the way, if you look at the blog , you will see that

Symfony2's open API will be frozen in just a few days. Consequently, this week the developers made some of the last big changes affecting the code repository: the response was deleted from the DIC, CompatAssetsBundle was deleted in favor of AsseticBundle, and boostrap files were also deleted.

This can only mean a stable version in the near future!

I would say yes, as long as you know that this is a preliminary release and take the necessary precautions, that is, follow the error logs.

There are many sites that use symfony2 in production, including the VPS control panel in ServerGrove and OpenSky (developed by the creator and main contributor to the projects of the doctrine of orm and odm).

A candidate for release appears this month, which means the API is becoming stable! Hooray!

This link from the Symfony2 blog describes the roadmap for the release of Symfony2.

There is also a Symfony2 Bundles site , which is a collection of packages that already exist for Symfony2

They said they would be available soon.

But you can already download it from github and begin to study it and pass to it. I have been doing this since December of last year, and the only problem was the changes to the API. But now it must be more stable and secure for the transition to it.

The note "not ready for production" means a lack of support and no guarantees that everything works, and tomorrow something will not change. And if that changes, it was your problem to find out what and how.

While the initial plan was to publish a stable release last week at the Symfony Live conference in Paris, it was announced that it would be postponed for what I think should be at least a couple more weeks that I agree this is a good thing.

This means that the API is not yet stable and is subject to change, and that these changes may lead to a BC break. The standard package, which is now available for download on the new website, is PR, like previous versions.
