Changing the font at run time in a WPF application

I am using a non-English (Hebrew) font in a WPF application. The font was embedded in the project using a blend expression.

In the designer, I see the font correctly, but at runtime part of the letter is changed to different fonts.

What could it be?

Are the design and runtime environments on the same computer? If not, check the installed fonts. If it is on the same machine, then perhaps check to see if any localization occurs at run time.
