Can we enter a pin with FTP data

I tried to log in using putty on a server with FTP data Hostname, Username and Password. But he says Access Denied when I entered Paassword.

For my other website, I entered my hostname and open it in putty, it shows "Network Error: Connection timeout".

But 2 sites can be opened in an FTP client such as Smart FTP. To get access through putty, I need some permission or what else could be a problem.

Where can I find information about Putty, i.e. username and password to log in to mask SSL. I need to perform MYsql insttruction, do file transfer, etc., Please show me the link to find out some commands.

Putty is an SSH / Telnet client, not an FTP client - a different protocol, a different TCP port. FTP is usually at risk - SSH can be much more dangerous, and I suspect it is blocked if you see a connection timeout message.

If you want to use Putty to log in to the FTP server, you need to do this manually. You need to establish a RAW connection on port 21. After connecting, you need to send the USER, and then the username and PASS followed by the password. You can find more information about RFC959 http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc959.html

If you want to try other ftp software, take a WinSCP snapshot.

Be sure to create a folder called billing and place all exe and batch executables.

echo off echo Starting PSFTP and Logging Into FTPSITE.ORG psftp.exe username@FTP.org -pw "PASSWORD" -b "C:\BILLING\SITE.CMD" echo %d%%t% move /y "C:\Interface\Charges\BILLING.EXP" "C:\Interface\Charges\Sent\BILLING%d%%t%.EXP" echo Done Uploading Billing Results and Moving Files exit
