For Emacs, the long way to use the CTRL key on Android

I need help with Emacs. I run Ubuntu in Froyo (Android 2.2) and connect to Android VNC Viewer.

But in Android VNC Viewer it is difficult to use the CTRL , ALT , left mouse and right mouse buttons, so I did some experiments.

I tried changing /system/usr/keylayout/eve_qwerty.kl (since my phone is gw620-eve ), but I cannot reassign the volume button with CTRL , although I can reassign the volume button with ALT

 key 114 VOLUME_DOWN WAKE -> key 114 ALT_LEFT

I also tried changing the eve_qwerty.kcm.bin file as well

Is there a special name for CTRL like ALT_LEFT ? Can't I reassign using CTRL_LEFT or CONTROL ?

Can someone tell me the ASCII CTRL code? Or can someone let me know how to apply this ( http://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/KeyEvent.html ) useful link to my work?

For what you tried to do on Android, there is an External Keyboard Helper Pro application for physical keyboards or a virtual Hacker Keyboard with Ctrl keys and others. A resistive or capacitive stylus can be useful with a full virtual keyboard in portrait mode if you are using a phone, and the keys are small.
