Javascript library for interactive histogram?

I need a Javascript charting tool to build a histogram that allows me to click on the chart panel and get another chart (in the pop-up window or below the first chart). I need a histogram that fires an event giving me some sort of identifier for the column that was clicked.

Dettails

The data for the first graph must be loaded using ajax when the page loads, and the data for the second graph must be loaded by clicking on one of the columns.

Example: A chart with one bar for March and one bar for April, when you click the marker bar, you get a second chart (below or in a pop-up window) with two bars: one for 03/12/2011, and the other for 23/03 / 2011.

Total expenses: March 1200 April 300

Total expenses for March: 03/12/2011 1000 03/23/2011 200

Total expenses for April: 04/16/2011 10/21/2011 290

D3.js is very impressive and makes beautiful diagrams. Check out their many nice examples on the website:

It is free and comes with a BSD license.

Checkout http://www.jqplot.com/

It does not do everything you need out of the box, but if you extend the Cursor class, I think you can get the functionality you were looking for.
