What does DB mean in Completed in 6427ms (View: 6279, DB: 96)?

I am trying to make the page loading easier, and I was curious what DB is in ...:

Completed in 6427ms (View: 6279, DB: 96)

... mean?

Because 6279 + 96! = 6427ms

Guide Rail Quotation :

 Completed in 5ms (View: 2, DB: 0) | 200 OK [http://0.0.0.0/items]

This data is simple enough to understand. Rails uses the millisecond (ms) as an indicator to measure the time taken. The full request was spent 5 ms inside Rails, of which 2 ms were rendering rendering and communication with the database. It is safe to assume that the remaining 3 ms were spent inside the controller.
