JQuery templates not working in IE9 RC

It just upgraded to IE9 RC and found that my web pages using jQuery templates did not display the contents of the template.

Pages work fine when I switch to IE8 browser mode in the developer tools (and Safari, FF, etc.).

Does anyone have any ideas?

The problem was caused by an error in jQuery 1.5 when working in IE9.

The only way to get this working is to wait for jQuery 1.5.1 to be released.

Now there is RC version of jQuery v1.5 - here This should solve your jQuery problems on IE9 RC. The full version of jQuery 1.5.1 should be released very soon.

Check your code for using .text () ,. contents () and replace them with .html ().

IE has problems with these functions, the only reliable way to capture content is .html (): http://www.bennadel.com/blog/1829-Script-Tags-jQuery-And-Html-Text-And-Contents- .htm

This issue has been fixed in the latest version of jQuery. Go to 1.5.1

It can be fixed, but still remains a problem through asp.net!
