Personally, I have not heard of Kooboo, but I have heard of Orchard.
Orchard is handled by Microsoft (but not βownedβ) by Microsoft, which, like the endorsement for any product you get in the .NET space, I think. As much as I feel better, I must say that Orchard is because of this. I think this will also become more popular due to the connection to MS.
However, if you are a .NET developer, then it really comes down to what you like, feeling better, I think. If you feel that you want to start changing things and getting your hands dirty with a source, then choose the one you like.
In addition, the future will contain answers, so maybe wait a few months and see how things look :)
