Custom Symbian Qt Fonts

I am trying to download a custom font in a Qt application for a symbian device. Obviously, the font is loaded correctly in the desktop / simulator application.

But when I try to execute on the device, it just doesn't load custom fonts.

Using the linked class here. I managed to load the font into symbian. I see a font calling loadedFonts methods, but when I try to list the available fonts with QFontDatabase, it only displays the standard font, not the recently added one.

To download the file for symbian, I copied it from the resource to the "temp" directory on drive C.

Any help would be really appreciated.

It was a known mistake. This section has explanations and possible workarounds.

Did you copy the fonts to ~ / .fonts or / usr / share / fonts specify your font database

QStringList fm = QFontDatabase().families(); for(auto a : fm) qDebug() << "Font family: " << a ;

They should be there.

Check if the system sees fonts: fc-list
