Sharepoint 2010 Create a PDF document in a document library

I have a document library in Sharepoint 2010. Can I check the boxes next to the document name and convert documents to pdf? It seems I can not find such an option. If not, I can programmatically generate a PDF file and add them to the library.

Actually, if you have programming skills, you can create your own EventReceiver for each element added / updated to convert a Word document to a PDF. Using Word Automation Services.

check this:

You will need a third-party product because the PDF conversion does not ship with SharePoint unless you count the most basic conversion for MS-Word only, which is available in some editions of SharePoint 2010.

Check out this product , it does exactly what you want, including the checkboxes in Service Pack 2 (SP2010), and can be used through workflows and web pages for service calls.

Further information as well as real-world examples can be found here .

Disclaimer, I work for this provider, so this is a shameless plugin. However, it answers your question :-)

Alice,

Or you can use dynamic PDF documents that can be integrated with the Document Library as content types. Check out this product: it allows you to send Pdf formats using Adobe Reader (no Reader extensions are required).

Disclaimer: I use this product and am happy with it. It has some limitations, but there is nothing sharp.

MS Word provides a conversion function, you can open a Word document and save it in PDF format in a document library. In addition, there are some tools from the third part that will help you solve this problem, for example, BoostSolutions PDF Converter.
