Remote SSRS errors enabled but not working

Remote SSRS errors are enabled but not working,

I enabled report errors on the report server in integrated sp mode and still get the following error:

"For more information about this error, go to the report server on the local server or clear the errors"

I checked the report server that reports β€œremote errors = true” and the server was restarted

Other information: I use Report Builder 3 to develop my reports, then I publish to SharePoint, but it only appears when rendering in SP (2010 and SQL Server R2 update)

I'm sure your SSRS service is running on a server that is not your web interface, right? SSRS will not transmit most errors to display WFE. The best way to debug report errors is to configure a host record on your SSRS server and receive reports directly from your SSRS server. Another option, if you do not have local access to the server, is to set the host entry on the SSRS server on your local computer and immediately click on it.

Hope this helps anyone who comes across this as this is an older question.

I had the same problem even after I resolved the remote errors in Central Admin. Check the SharePoint site settings for the report storage area.

Site Settings> Reporting Services> Reporting Services Site Settings and make sure "Enable Remote Errors in Local Mode" is checked.

After flagging this, I saw detailed error messages when I tried to open reports.

Hope this helps!
