Vll_x86 dll not detected error shown when trying to start application debug mode

Question

I am new to using Visual Leak Detector, after creating the settings in accordance with the documentation for Visual C ++ 6 and launching the program in debug mode Error "Application failed to start because vld_x86.dll was not found. Installing the application may fix this problem"

i reinstalled and enabled the path for the dll in the VC6 settings.

inclusion is correct and necessary, as far as I know.

I had the same problem and I was able to solve it by copying all the files in the vld "bin" directory to the same folder as the executable I wanted to check for leaks.

not a very elegant way, but working, I hope this works for you too!

After finding the answer, I took a long time, two things finally fixed the problem for me. First, if you have not restarted Visual Studio after including these new files and libraries, you should do this. Secondly, when I went to look at my computer to find out what was added to my path in the environment variables, it added win64. and I run win32. Hope this was descriptive enough and helps.
