SVG support in IE8 +

SVG will make the user interface of one of our intranet applications more useful. My main goal is to use vector graphics, which can be updated via asynchronous js calls, and some elements can handle click / d & d events.

I know that implementing gecko, safari and chrome is good. Now the big question is: how good is the implementation of IE8 svg? What needs to be considered so that SVG ui works well with IE8 (and possibly ie9)?

According to Wikipedia :

As of April 2010, Internet Explorer, up to IE8, including the latest version, is the only current major browser that does not provide native SVG support, although native support is partially available in Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview: current versions of IE require a plugin to render content SVG. There are a number of plugins available to assist, including: [...]

So the answer is: IE8 support does not exist (without a plugin or library ).

I think you should @MichaelScherotter answer the apology :)
