How do you have a text box inside your keyboard, like a message app?

never tried, but you can try this -

You can programmatically

• install toolbar.
• set the text box.
• set the toolbar as an input window for viewing a text field.
• make the text box the first responder.

It depends on what you are trying to do with it. You can simply create a view similar to a keyboard section and display it directly above the keyboard. If you are trying to send SMS / email, check out the MessageUI documentation.
