Business Intelligence Reports with mySql

Are there any good open source projects for Business Intelligence reports in mySql or is there a commercial option that is not too expensive? I'm in a 5-person store, so spending a lot of $$$ is not an easy option.

Pentaho is a good option ... http://www.pentaho.com/

This is openource, I have a friend who sells BI and uses this delivery solution, and he really likes it

There is also JasperSoft, but I have not heard anything about it http://www.jaspersoft.com/

You can also take a look at icCube ; there is a community that may be sufficient for your needs; otherwise, the corporate version is quite accessible in comparison with the main market participants.

Then you are InfoBright , which is the MySQL fork. They have their own column-oriented storage engine that is optimized for BI / DW queries. Having the same SQL syntax tables and indexes, this can be an interesting choice for the MySQL store. There is a free community version for free.

There is an Eclipse plugin, BIRT . We just started using it, and so far it seems good. We use the community, and my knowledge in other versions is limited. Otherwise, Pentaho is a great option.

I am going to confirm the choice of Pentaho. There is a Pentaho Business Suite that you can buy, but you can get all the tools for free.

I use Pentaho data integration for data with data from our database in France, all the way to Mauritius in Africa. PDI processes the file transfer using ssh and then downloads with all the business logic in it and finally deletes the files that were successfully downloaded from the production server.

I tried a little reporting tool, this is a very complete product.

All that is required is time and energy to learn. The online community is very active, and developers respond directly to the forum (I know what the PDI project leader does)
