VS2010 intellisense will disappear if you press the Ctrl key

On my VS2010, when intellisense is displayed, and if I press the Ctrl key, all intellisense will be dull and very hard to see until Ctrl is released.

This is very annoying when I redirected my arrows up and down to Ctrl + J and Ctrl + K , using autohotkey to save my RSI.

Does anyone know an option / workaround to configure key binding to navigate intellisense or to make it not dull?

If you have Visual Assist X , then you're in luck as it has the reg option to disable the Ctrl key attenuation behavior in Visual Studio.

Reg value named "ListboxFlags" in HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Whole Tomato \ Visual Assist X \ VANet10

Or a value with 0x10 (the default value is 0, so in this case just set the value to 0x10).
