What other DBMS should support my open source Java support library

I am releasing a new version of jOOQ , a Java save library built on top of JDBC. I currently support these seven RDBMSs:

  • Oracle
  • MySQL
  • Postgres
  • H2
  • HSQLDB
  • DB2
  • SQLite (experimental)

With jOOQ, I want to provide both broad and reliable RDBMS support. This means that I must be selective enough to ensure the reliability of my integration tests. At the same time, I must meet the needs of end users in supporting important databases. I expect my end users to rely heavily on their databases. jOOQ is not an OR-mapper. Au contraire, jOOQ covers vendor-specific functions, such as stored procedures , so the underlying database really matters to me.

In the next release, I want to add additional RDBMS support. For instance:

  • MS SQL
  • Derby

What would you suggest and why? Please explain based on objective grounds and state your recommendations.

UPDATE

The following DBMSs are now supported. Thanks again for the tip.

  • Cubid
  • Derby
  • Ingres
  • SQL Server
  • Sybase (both SQL Anywhere and ASE)

With the Ringbearer sybase offer and your list of MS SQL and Derby, only the big ones are left, these are Ingres and Firebird.

IBM also has a second Informix database, but I know nothing about it except the name :)

Sybase - why? many systems still run sybase; especially in the field of health. Sybase is an industry class and multi-functional product. +1 for the project. I went through the site and I am impressed.
