Extract from 7z archive failed while executing command line

Question

I downloaded a 7z archive that needs a password to extract the contents of the archive. I used the 7z -e archive.7z command

The following error failed: Error: Invalid command.

Can someone tell me the command to extract the file. Thanks in advance.

Lose the dash.

retrieval password is similar to archiving password
(password - PWD)

7z e -pPWD archive.zip
