Are there any advantages to using Emacs instead of developing Eclipse for Android?

If so, what are they?

Although this does not apply to Android applications, I would say performance ... emacs is faster. than java editors, I had a lot of slowdowns using netbeans ... now I find that I spend this extra time studying emacs myself, I hope that in the future I would find many more advantages ...

This is not a platform specific issue. Instead, you ask a question about development environments that come down to personal preference. Do you like working with emacs in general more than you like working with Eclipse? Do you prefer to "create your own environment from different scenarios and your own lisp hacking approach for a monolithic distribution-plus-plugins approach?

If you can be more productive with one or the other, what you should use. This has nothing to do with Android development and, say, writing web applications.

From an Android perspective, it’s better to integrate with Eclipse than anything else. See eclipse adt for the degree of integration of eclipse and other ides for how it works in emacs.

Otherwise, it is a personal preference and very subjective.
