How can I make sure someone has successfully “liked” my site when they click the “like” button on my site?

Hey guys, I’m developing an application for rails 3, which you need to use for the facebook button, for example, as a “button” and display photos of the profiles of people who click on it and complete the liking process (login to facebook, etc.). For other reasons, my app should know when @current_user I liked my site. For example, if they click a button, but they are not logged in to facebook and never log in to facebook to complete the process, my application should not think that they liked my site. What is the easiest way to do this? I would appreciate any help.

Attach to Facebook javascript event using FB.Event.subscribe

 FB.Event.subscribe('edge.create', function(response) { // fire an ajax call to store that the user has liked you }); 

edge.create - fires when the user likes something (fb: like)
