How to diagnose undefined XamlParseException in Blend?

I am working on a custom control for Silverlight 4 in VS2010 and Expression Blend 4. In the beginning I used generic.xaml without any problems and was actually able to see a preview of the styles that I played with Blend.

But as I added complexity, I suddenly started getting this error whenever I open generic.xaml in Blend, and so far I have not been able to find the culprit ...

Strange, the project is still under construction, and the styles work as expected. Therefore, I can actually make design changes by modifying generic.xaml and rebuilding. But I hope to fix this problem, so I can make changes to Blend more easily. Any ideas?

Well, sorry. I spent several hours experimenting and researching, and thought I needed some help.

This is one to get an unspecified error message. This is really frustrating when you realize that you are doing something to fix this problem, but the message did not update in Blend even after recovery! . After I closed and reopened Blend, he responded to my changes. If anyone else encounters this problem, it may help to find out that a restart of Blend is required.

Somehow, this particular error was caused by the readonly property, which really should not have been read only. After that, I had another problem inside the overridden OnApplyTemplate function. Now everything works as it should.
