Wysiwyg editor that outputs mediawiki / tracwiki

(Related to this question .)

I am looking for a wysiwyg editor, but which outputs the syntax of mediawiki (or, preferably, tracwiki) instead of html .

I have worked with TinyMCE and CKEditor in the past, but both of them are only for html output. There is a project for adding CKEditor to mediawiki, but it is only in alpha, and it was developed as a plugin for mediawiki, and not as a separate editor.

Thanks! Postscript I added this question since my original question asked about TinyMCE and CKEditor, something else. I hope that everything is in order.

As far as I know, CKEditor doesn’t have much, but there are several tools for exporting from MS Word to the mediawiki format (although this can create a big problem instead of helping).

In any case, there is additional information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tools#Importing_.28converting.29_content_to_Wikipedia_.28MediaWiki.29_format

There are several projects, VisualEditor and Parsoid , that together solve this problem. They are still under active development, but you can play with the demo on MediaWiki.org . Both of these projects are free, open source software (VisualEditor is under MIT, and Parsoid is under the GPL).
