Css: how to get the default font family for a browser

I am new to css and maybe this question is trivial, but I googled a bit and I did not find what I was looking for.

I announced a font family for my entire site. Now I want to override the font family for some sections. I need the default browser font family. How can I specify the default browser font family in css?

.browser-defatults { font-family: ????? }

Thanks for the advanced.

EDIT . Maybe I need to ignore all styles, how can I do this?

From what I know, CSS does not suggest ignoring all previous user styles for a property.

A workaround for your problem might be to use a generic font family ,

 font-family: serif;

and select a browser.
