Create jar file

Question

I wrote code for a client-server application. and i go to

properties> packaging

to create a jar file for it. but when I start the server side, and then the client side! it does not make a jar file for my application! what should I do? please help me thanks

Use this to create an executable jar.

jar cf jar-file input-file(s) 

or alternatively you can write an ant script to do the same
