Eclipse inbound sync displays incoming new files as folders

I hope it is okay to ask here about strange behavior / errors in Eclipse.

When I use the Eclipse synchronization view with Subclipse, I saw very well all the input files from other developers with blue arrows pointing to the left. A double-click was ideal to open the comparison editor and view all changes.

For some time, when a colleague adds a new file, it appears as an incoming new folder in my sync view! Even if I update it, I sometimes need to restart Eclipse so that this folder disappears from the synchronization view (or synchronize another folder and synchronize the root again). Also double-clicking to open the comparison editor is broken (then it’s nice to see a new file, although the left side of the comparison editor is empty, but it does not matter to me)

Does anyone know why this is happening? I tried all settings settings and could not find anything on Google. I think I'm using grandma or whatever they call, I can't find the version number I need anywhere. Thank you
