Can an Adobe Air application disable self-signed certificate alerts?

Disclaimer: I'm new to Air (about 20 minutes in this experiment).

I have a demo application using Adobe Air that accesses my own SSL web service that uses a self-signed certificate. In .NET clients, I can explicitly handle (and ignore) certificate warnings and suppress them through ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback. Is there something similar in the air? I have studied the URLRequest and URLLoader classes, but have not found anything.

If you are using Windows XP, install an untrusted or unknown certificate in trusted root certificate authorities. You can install the certificate from Internet Explorer while accessing your site. There is a registered error . In Vista and Windows 7. The error has not yet been resolved.

Thus, the only solution (without changing the server behavior) is to add your self-signed certificate to the Trusted Root system.

AIR has more information about Secure Client Sockets and the SecureSocket Class .
