When interent and html were new, you could find examples of how to create a website on several reliable websites. I think the same websites may not be the best choice for finding examples for Silverlight.

What are the best websites where you can look at examples - and most importantly - look at the source code of some Silverlight examples?

Back when MFC existed as an option that programmers could use to develop Windows applications, an encoder could look at a huge list of code examples and go through this code to find something that did a little what it was looking for and use this Sample code to create your own application. Is there something similar for Silverlight?

The easiest way to get SL4 tools for VS2010 is the Web Platform Installer , which will also list other Silverlight tools (for example, WCF RIA Services Toolkit, the latest CodePlex SL4 Toolkit), and even help you configure IIS if you need it .
