Provide Insert Link functionality in a C # Winforms application

I would like to add Copy-Paste Link functionality to the application. The application replaces a complex Excel workbook. I would like to be able to copy tables, text and diagrams from the application and use the Paste Link in MS Word.

For the uninitiated:
In Excel, when you use Paste Link for tables, text, diagrams, etc., Update items in Word when they change in Excel.

Does anyone know for sure if this is / is impossible (is it some kind of proprietary feature of MS Word-Excel)? If not, can someone point me to some resources that will help (either the application that does this, or the tutorial / record).

I'm trying the exact same way. I ended up going to OpenXML sdk 2.0 to add content controls to Word and paste diagrams into these places, for example, what this blogger does. http://www.dotblogs.com.tw/angus/archive/2010/05/19/15332.aspx

Could you share your code here? I would really like to know the OLE DB path. Appreciate it!
