Easily create / update Office Open XML diagrams (preferably PowerPoint)

Does anyone know Office-independent .NET components that support creating / updating full-featured open, open XML diagrams from different types of documents (preferably PowerPoint) in a few lines of code.

MSDN example How to insert a chart into a spreadsheet document makes this a difficult way (as far as I can understand I need to create all these child objects, such as axes explicitly), although many components that read / write Excel 2007 charts allow you to create charts in several lines of code, implicitly creating child objects (axes, labels, labels, etc.).

Aspose.Slides.Pptx doesn't seem to provide a deep chart version either (e.g. changing chart type, etc.)

Although it is preferable to use PowerPoint, solutions and ideas for other Office documents (such as Word and Excel) that can be ported to PowerPoint are also welcome.

Nixie, I personally will stick with the OpenXML SDK v2
see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=C6E744E5-36E9-45F5-8D8C-331DF206E0D0&displaylang=en

There is a little learning curve, but as soon as you overcome it, I feel that you will have more control. You will also need good xml skills.

Tip: Use a document reflector (part of the SDK). This is extremely helpful.
