How are bound properties useful in LINQ?

I got this question during an interview in the past and have never burst in, but lately I have been thinking about it and I canโ€™t find a good answer. When I think about attached properties, my mind goes straight to concepts related to the user interface - what are the benefits of using attached properties with LINQ? I am starting to think that the answer is "they are not," unless I find out otherwise!

Linq and attached properties are not related. I think this question will be asked to confuse you.
