Is a component diagram (UML) a logical view of the system?
Depending on who you ask
Developer
Project manager
Business analyst
System Administrator
Client
I would say NO , but I'm just a developer.
The component diagram is used to describe the structure of the system. Helps to model more the physical aspect of the OO software system.
UML was developed for object modeling purposes. Is this object approach logical for you? If yes, then UML is logical and all its diagrams :-)
