Interaction with BizTalk server in receiving pipelines

I am creating custom pipeline components for receiving pipelines in BizTalk Server (2006 and 2009). I create components in a streaming manner.

My question is: for any single incoming message, if I have a disassembling component, when I create n messages from one incoming message, will the message agent always use one stream when reading (body) streams and saving messages to the message window? I would think so, but confirmation would be helpful.

Say, if I create five messages in a disassembler, will any of these messages be sequentially saved from one thread? Or can these messages be processed in parallel?

In Biztalk 2004, this was done in one thread, for more details see http://www.microsoft.com/belux/msdn/nl/community/columns/claessens/custompp.mspx .

This should be the same for the latest versions of Biztalk:

  • Biztalk 2006 did not make big changes compared to the changes between 2002 and 2004.
  • How can this be implemented? If you do not have a stream to search, it is impossible to navigate through the stream and, therefore, it is impossible to select different parts of the stream for different flows.
