What language is Picasa written in?

This was asked about a year ago , but actually did not answer. It would be great to know which language / gui framework was used to write the Picasa Google Desktop application. Any ideas?

I looked at the version of Windows, and I would suggest that C ++ is also for most of the components indicated by

  • scanning using PEiD , which is why npPicasa3.dll and qtsupport.dll were created by the Visual C ++ 8.0 compiler.
  • Process Explorer showing that Picasa3.exe has an open descriptor for MSVCP80.dll, which is a Microsoft C ++ Runtime Libary

Windows and Mac have their own applications, and the Linux version runs under Wine, so I assume that they do not use something like Java. I assume that this means that the version of Windows is written in C ++ and the Mac is in Objective-C format.

The link will open. Although this API is deprecated, it suggests that the Picasa user interface is encoded in some proprietary XML format made by Google, and the Adobe Photoshop file is used as the icon.
