My Perforce Eclipse plugin only works partially

I installed the Perforce plugin version 3.4 on Eclipse Ganymede, configured my connection and workspace. My perspective works very well. However, when I work in the Java perspective, and I right-click on any file in the project explorer, the "Team" context menu does not display the punch options for registration, synchronization, etc. It has only the "Apply Patch" and "Show Local History" options.

This is super-annoying! Help someone?

You right-click on the project and execute the command → general project → Perforce (connection information?)

Also, if the connection information was incorrect, then in some versions of the plugin it does not complain. It just does not show you any options. A good test for this would be to open the P4 Depot view inside eclipse (Window -> Show View -> P4 connections)

Check your Java Perspective setting (from the Menu Window ):

And see if there are any Perforce related commands to activate.

(see Configuring Perspective Command Groups )

You can choose which groups of teams are available in perspective.
Command groups provide menu items, toolbar buttons, and key bindings, all of which execute commands.
Creating a command group that is not available in the future removes these command launch methods.
Creating an accessible group of commands allows you to use these methods, but you can turn them on and off using finer-grained control using the menu visibility tabs and the toolbar visibility tabs of the Customize Perspective dialog box
