Setting a dark color theme in Eclipse makes function tooltips unreadable

I found that setting a dark color theme in Eclipse makes function popups unreadable.

This is probably easiest to describe with an image: alt text http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/9503/blahi.gif

Any ideas how to fix this?

The best solution I have found is to leave the eclipse in normal bright mode and use a screen level inverter.

In OSX, you can do command-shift-8 (I think the key combination) inverts the whole screen

on linux with compiz, it’s even better, you can make windows-n to darken windows selectively. (or windows-m to make the whole screen)

on windows, the only decent solution I found was a powerstrip, but it is only available for one year .. then he likes $ 30 or something like that.

then you can invert the screen, adjust the colors at the syntactic level to your liking, and you will go to the race, with cool shades.

If you run Eclipse on Ubuntu or in another environment where it uses GTK + themes, you can follow this guide to edit the Eclipse tooltips and autocomplete colors. Not an ideal solution, but it does the trick.
