How to detect taps in the gesture area on the Palm Pre?

Play with my Palm Pre phone. I want to determine how the user clicks in the gesture area (the area directly below the screen). How to do it?

I did not find anything obvious in the service API or API.

The gesture area is considered as a metaKey modifier for tap and key events. Listen to Mojo.Event.tap anywhere on the page, leave your finger in the gesture area, and then click where you are listening. The event must have event.metaKey true .

I found this page that describes capturing gesture area inputs using the SDL_PollEvent method in the plug-in development kit (PDK):

Unfortunately, I have not figured out how to use PDK yet ...

You can check the mojo-keydown and -keyup code 57575. Try the sample APIs, Input, Key Presses.
